Respected for knowledge, skill and experience

Lewis, Babcock & Griffin, LLP. was one of the first firms in the region to pursue legal malpractice cases and is still the leader in that area.  We also have been utilized by various courts as advisors to judges for more than 20 years.  Cam Lewis has served as chairman of the Advisory Committee on Standards of Judicial Conduct and has had the honor of appearing before the United States Supreme Court three times.  Keith Babcock served as a bar examiner for six years. He has been the only lawyer serving on the state's panel of judicial ethics.  Keith also has an outstanding reputation for representing real property owners in condemnation and other disputes and is the only South Carolina lawyer who sits on the Owners' Counsel of America.

Our firm is honored to be AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review RatedSM by Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest rating available for legal ability and adherence to ethical standards.  Our lawyers have also been named Super Lawyers and recognized among the Best Lawyers in South Carolina.

Special systems for handling big document cases

Over the years, our staff at Lewis, Babcock & Griffin, LLP. recognized the importance of developing systems for handling cases that included huge volumes of documents.  In particular, class actions — for example, those involving charges against state retirement funds, hospitals or car dealerships — may have hundreds of thousands of supporting documents.  Our firm's willingness to take on daunting cases is bolstered by our effective and efficient handling and utilization of large numbers of documents.
